Landlord jailed after setting up hidden cameras to watch tenants have sex
Imaeda then ran a cable to his back shed where there was a recliner chair and large TV to watch the footage.
“It is my view that there was some sophistication in setting up the cameras,” magistrate David Debnan said.

It was also noted the 63-year-old had conducted “clear planning” in the advertisement to request for a couple to occupy the bugged bedroom.
The young couple came across one of the hidden cameras, finding it pointed at the floor-to-ceiling mirrors in the room.
Imaeda’s wife wept as the landlord was sentenced to 18 months jail.

He will have to serve at least 10 months before he is eligible for parole.
It’s not the first time Imaeda has been in trouble, after a blaze at his industrial lot in Alexandria in 2014.
On that occasion, Imaeda had transformed the lot into illegal student housing, with 15 foreign nationals lucky to survive the blaze.
Imaeda says he will appeal the 18-month sentence he was handed on Thursday.
