Muslim public speaker and former ABC presenter Yassmin Abdel-Magied has faced mixed reaction on social media after revealing she has decided to leave Australia.

VIDEO There was outrage after the ABC presenter was accused of insulting our Diggers.
Yesterday the mechanical engineer revealed she is London-bound, calling it an "Australian rite of passage" after months of criticism over her views on Anzac Day.
She made the announcement via social media on Monday morning.
"#GearingUpForANewAdventure. Folks, it's been fun, but I'm off to partake in the Aussie rite of passage - I'm moving to London! 💖 #inshallah," she wrote.

Many of Ms Abdel-Magied's supporters said the news of her move saddened them and said Australia was losing "an important voice."
"We need thinkers like you more than ever now," one person commented on Facebook.
Australian academic Peter Van Onselen tweeted the former ABC presenter, wishing her luck and said the reaction she received for her comment was "over-the-top."
But others celebrated the news of her move, telling her "good riddance" on social media.

"I hope you have a wonderful time in the UK and stay there forever and ever," one person wrote on Facebook.
Abdel-Magied became the target of a months-long torrent of vitriol after she linked government asylum seeker policies to Anzac Day on Anzac Day earlier this year.
"LEST.WE.FORGET. (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine...)", she wrote.

Muslim activist and television host Yassmin Abdel-Magied has courted controversy with an Anzac Day Facebook post suggesting Australians should also remember the suffering on Manus Island and Nauru, and in Syria and Palestine.
The presenter of ABC's weekend program Australia Wide wrote: "LEST. WE. FORGET. (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine …)"
She later removed the post and apologised after other Facebook users complained she had politicised the memorial day.
The 26-year-old Muslim youth activist removed the last portion of her original post, leaving the words, "Lest we forget".
"It was brought to my attention that my last post was disrespectful, and for that, I apologise unreservedly," Abdel-Magied wrote.
