Sky News host Steve Price has called for Australia's Ambassador to the United States Kevin Rudd to resign after his disparaging comments against US President-elect Donald Trump resurfaced over the last week.

Following Trump’s imminent return to the White House, Mr Rudd quietly deleted comments from his social media which labelled Trump as ‘the most destructive president in history’.“Kevin Rudd … surely cannot stay as Australia's ambassador when Donald Trump is sworn in at the end of January next year…. if he had any sense of duty he would voluntarily resign,” Mr Price said.

“Clearly the Australia / US alliance is bigger than Rudd but we need the US a lot more than they need us and our diplomat in Washington will play a pivotal role in arguing against tariff targets as happened the last time the Republicans were in the White House.”TV host suggests Rudd should resign as US ambassador over disparaging anti-Trump comments./-
